It is a dispersed village with a group of houses in the centre, located on gravelly terrace on the left bank of river Dreta. On the way to Kokarje there is a small settlement and at the foot of hills on the south-west there are some dispersed farms. The place is rather urbanized.

Nazarje
The village Nazarje (346 m alt.) lies on confluence of rivers Savinja and Dreta. It is a capital of municipality Nazarje and an important economic, industrial, trade, traffic and employment centre of the Upper Savinja valley.
Before the Second World War, Nazarje was a small unknown village. The village began to develop more rapidly by making the first industrial sawmill in 1901, which represented the very beginning of the wood industry. The most of the village is a group of houses. On the left bank of river Dreta there are some blocks of flats.
The renewed castle Vrbovec located on a hill on the confluence of rivers Savinja and Dreta makes a beautiful image of the village. On the hill Gradišče (389 m) above the village there is a Franciscan monastery with a rich and well organized library.
The village has approximately 1000 inhabitants. It has s new primary school with a sports hall, music school, post office, gas station, shops, forest administration, centre of culture, fire brigade, medical centre, sports and recreation centre, wood industry, heating plant, factory of household appliances, factory of textiles and many trade shops.
BSH Hišni Aparati d.o.o., factory Nazarje (800 employees) is the site of BSH’s competence center for motorized consumer products, which is responsible for development, innovation and quality in the Consumer Products Division, and markets these products. Consumer products produced at Nazarje are sold in the region, but are also marketed worldwide (brands: Bosch, Siemens and Ufesa), and since 2003, regional sales of large appliances are also controlled from here.
Nazarje is a starting-point for beautiful excursions to Dobrovlje and to other interesting settlements.

Prihova
Its centre is a group of houses on the left bank of river Savinja above the confluence with the river Dreta. Some houses lie by the road to Spodnja Rečica. In this area there is a factory of fashion clothes Elkroj.

Zavodice
This is a settlement of lonesome homes on the north-west slopes of Dobrovlje (Šunc, 821 m). The most of the houses are built on the old carstic terrace on the right bank of the stream Črni graben.

Žlabor
This is a settlement by the road, on the right side of river Dreta, under the steep slopes of Dobrovlje (Šunc. 821 m). On the edge of the valley there is a settlement Petelinjek. On the nearby slope there is an abandoned mine of bauxite.
